These are some of the questionnaires I goy my peers to fill out based on our final music video. I will be using these to help me with one of my evaluation questions.

Music Video Evaluation- Questionnaire

For our third evaluation question which is, What have you learnt from your Audience feedback?, we decided to create this questionnaire so we could find out what a variety of people thought about our music video in depth. We have included 5 in depth questions, and we will ask 10 different people to fill our questionnaire in. Another post will be published with the results and our findings.

My Final Digipak Together

This is my final design for my Digipak, however I have not included a barcode and a producer name for the time being.

This is my final digipak all together. I have mainly stuck to my second drafts of my digipak, and thought that these were my best ones so I used them as style models. I believe that using colour in my digipak suited my artist more than the black and white drafts I experimented with. As well as looking at Ellie Gouldings album, I looked at Taylor Swift for inspiration as my artist Megan has a similar style to Taylor Swift as well as Ellie Goulding.

Digipak Final Front Cover

This is my final front cover, for my Digipak, my final draft does look very similar to my second draft, however I have changed a few things. Firstly, I cropped the picture more so that it was a closer shot of the artist itself. I have also changed the font, which I prefer to my last font I used. I am happy with this final draft and I think using colour instead of black and white, was the right choice for my Digipak.

Digipak Back Cover Another Draft

This is another draft of a back page for my digipak. I like this design a lot better than my first draft of my digipak, however, in my next and final draft I might change some of the colours around and maybe look at a different font which I could use.

Digipak Front Cover Another Draft

This is another draft of a front cover for my digipak, I decided to use colour in my main photo so that I could see the difference between using colour and not using colour. I think its good to experiment so that in the end you are happy with your final product. I quite like this draft, if I had to change something, I would maybe make her name bigger, and maybe zoom in on the photo more.

Digipak Middle Page Another Draft

This is another draft for my middle page of my digipak. This is a lot more simple than my first digipak draft for my middle page. This time I decided to use 1 picture, so I could compare and contrast which I think looked better. If I could change anything, it would be maybe adding more lyrics or another photograph.

Digipak Front Cover Another Draft

This is another draft of a front cover for my digipak. I decided to zoom in on the artist so that she stands out more to the audience. I have used black and white, therefore I may try another draft with more colour.

Throughout my coursework I have been using Ellie Goulding as a style model, so this draft reflects her style of music. I used the black and white, just like Ellie has with her new album cover called Halcyon. I do think that the black and white work well together however, I will be experimenting with other colours to see which one I think works best for my artist.

 

 

 

Ideology In Our Music Video

How are women represented in your music video?
In our music video, the main character which is a women is represented to be quite vulnerable. This represents the sda tone in the song an in our video. Also, because, the song represents that one of her family members is dying, this could be seen as quite weak, by some of our audience.
Do they display a narrow range of lifestyles, behaviours and marginalise each other?
Our music video, shows that our artist follows a normal lifestyle. The artist in the video appears to the audience that she has normal behaviours of a young teenage girl who is simply just upset and is grieving. We have used flashbacks in our video to marginalise our video from other videos making it unique. It shows past times of there fun and happy times, and then it cuts to her life now. Some people may portray of video and our singer to not have a normal lifestyle but we believe that she does have a normal lifestyle.
Do they make value judgements about what is normal and what is deviant?
In our video our main character emily, is very upset in our video and she dosnt take it in the best, way however some people take deaths in a different way. This part of our video could be judged more, however it is normal for people to be upset when they experince a close friend or relative passing away.

Lack Of Posts

I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would just let you know what I have been doing.
We have been finishing filming and editing our music video in most of our media lessons. 
Also, I am working on my Digipak and Magazine Advertisement but its a working progress at the moment, therefore I don't want to put it on my blog yet.

Ideology

What is Ideology?
Ideology is a set of ideas that constitues ones expactations of something. Ideology is a comprehensive vision and a certain way of looking at things.
Ideologies are systems of abstract thought applied to public matters and therefore making the concept central to politics.

Truths- 
These are some truths which many people believe are natural in todays society. However, some people may think that these truths can be challenged in todays society.
- A women's place is in the home.
- Its natural that some people are rich and some people are poor.
- Education is important
- Boys will be boys- rough and tumble.
We see many of these truths shown in the news, and the news can be seen as a window of the world. If we did not have the news in todays society we would not know about many of society issues and triumphs in todays world.

Norms- 
Ideology can make us normalise many media texts and if we do decide to normalise something we accept it as behaviour and we don't question this norm.

Representations-
Dictatorships, tyrants, 18th century, view of african people, naziism.
The media represents images of social interaction and social institutions on a daily basis. This is because these ideologies are repeated, they shape broad social definitions. 

Digipak Middle Page First Draft

This is my first draft of my midlle page for my Digipak, I think this is my poorest draft out of all of them and I will be changing various aspects of this. I think i want to change the layout of this middle page and then maybe consider putting some more colour into the page.

 

Magazine Advertisment First Draft

This is my first draft of my magazine advertisment for my Digipak.

I have not yet included my smaller picture of my digipak, and I also think I will include more writing in my second draft instead of less empty space.

Prop Change

We have decided that we are not going to use the photo frame of the two girls in our video because it will take up more filming time,and altogether we have more than enough footage for our music video.

Digipak Back Cover First Draft

This is my first draft of my back cover for my Digipak. One aspect I might improve on is the fact that it may need more colour, this is something I will look at in my next draft. Once again this is very like Ellie Goulding's album back cover I have seen in a shop, however I could not find a photo of it on google images.

Digipak Front Cover First Draft

This is my first draft of my front cover for my Digipak. I am quite happy with this, even though it is in black and white, the pink adds a bit of colour to it. I may consider, using more colour in it in my next draft.

As Ellie Goulding is our style model for our music video, this is the front cover of her new album Halcyon. The use of the black and white, I have used to also try and portray the meaning in our music video. As our music vide and the song itself is quite sad I wanted to unite the two tasks together. Some of Ellies songs on her album are quite sad, as I have listened to her new album myself. This could have been one of the reasons why she chose black and white for her front cover.
